Reviving my solo

Need some help. Haven't flown my drone in a few years. Batteries are holding up ok and I did the battery hack on 2 of them. Gimbal oscillating back and forth and drone flying very erratic and would not shut off. It rolled over and ground down the props on the driveway. I did a compass cal and it acted a lil better. Looks like you can't give them away so I'd like to update it and give it to my Grandson. Also the gimbal isn't centered. I'm sure I'm running the old Solo app I do have solex on my old tablet but didn't try it. TIA
