Offline maps in latest Tower update?

Has anybody figured out how to get the offline maps function to work in the latest version of Tower? There are a few boxes that are grayed out and I cannot place a check mark into any of them so I was wondering what the trick is and how map box fits into this.

See the info on the links below, please note that the file path on your systems (tablet and computer may differ). Essentially I downloaded the offline (also referred to as cached) maps I need on my computer via mission planner and then copy to my tablet.

But why are the options greyed out? Is it because I need to download some map tiles and stick em in the maps directory or something? I did that before but I thought the recent update made improvements to offline caching but if we still have to do this manually then I dont see what the improvement was. Is it not possible to cache map areas using just the Tower app? Anyone know?
