Newbie to the 3dr Solo

I had a question in regards to doing the necessary calibrations. Should the calibrations be performed prior to the first flight or only when the controller shows a error and to calibrate.

I'd do the calibrations ( compass and IMU) before first flight even if it didn't prompt me to. They only take a couple of minutes. Remember to do the compass cal outside away from metal objects.
