State lawmakers are crafting legislation which will ban cities from writing their own drone policies. The state law will try to accommodate commercial users- hobbyist's will for the most part be heavily regulated.
Interesting that the new law will ban filming "sensitive" sites such as the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant.
Interesting because it is perfectly legal to film it from a plane or helicopter or from the ground.
(Side note- many state legislators have stated they would like to make it illegal to even possess a drone. What a bunch of wack jobs..
