Hello,

I'm looking to buy drone footage captured in:
- classic 3D (2 cameras side by side), for example 2 GoPro's.
- 180º 3D footage (2x180º cameras side by side) for example captured with the new Lucidcam LucidCam - The First True 3D VR180 Camera | $399 Shipping Now!

What would be the best place to look? Or which forums could you guys recommend to place an add? Shutterstock etc don't provide the kind of footage i'm looking for, so i'm guessing asking the drone pilots directly would be my best shot.

The footage needs to be fast paced, thrilling (close flybys, vertical drops, etc) and may be a varied mixture of inside (racing locations, ruins, garages...) and outside locations (riverbeds, cityscapes, forrest,...).

Minimal requirements 30FPS 2K resolution (each eye)
Every sequence or usable shot must be around 10 seconds or longer.
Looking for a total of 4 minutes worth of footage for each version.

Willing to pay 20$ for every second of usable footage that makes it into the final project.

If someone could point me in a correct direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Sebastian

First - Yes, asking pilots or companies directly is probably the best route here.

Secondly - You're basically asking for spec work with the 'per second *that makes it into the final project*' . Footage shot on a drone involves cost [insurance, hardware, storage] and risk as well as licensing.

I might be misunderstanding your post but if I were discussing this contract there would be two parts - a flat fee for the filming time and then a licensing costs section for any footage you desire to use. Unless you were able to pony enough for an unlimited all-rights contract wherein you own every second of footage shot.

Where is this filming taking place, out of curiousity?

Thank you for the feedback Bruce.
I'm just looking for already shot footage which a pilot would be willing to sell, so not asking them to go out there and shoot anything specific. It just needs to be fast paced, freestylish footage in as many varied locations as possible.
There's plenty of footage online that's not being used, if anyone is willing to sell it i would be interested. The biggest issue for me is finding 3D stereoscopic content, hence the thread.

I have gigs of 360 footage but no 3D footage, dang!
