Locking the gimbal

Is it possible to lock one or more axis of the gimbal?
I love the look of seeing the horizon bank back and forth; like being in an airplane.
Is there a way to limit or eliminate the gimbals movement from a command?
I suppose I could use the foam that keeps the gimbal from moving during flight, but that would stress the gimbals motors and use current/voltage.

Never block your motors! It will damage them. As far as stopping their operation. Probably not! There are way more gifted people on this forum that know about all the commands and settings, but I suspect there ins't a setting for what your looking for.

I always use my factory foam and re-insert it back when not using the drone.
Sometimes, even a hard landing will damage the gimbal/motors.

If you're willing to dive into some python code, you could probably write code that causes the gimbal to follow the bank angle rather than oppose it. It won't be quick or easy, but probably doable.
