Ok I put in my new gimbal and I'm wondering if it is only supposed to move via left control to move it up and down and not from side to side? I don't know so here is the best place to find out. thanks

The gimbal control only moves up and down. You control Solo for side to side movement.

ok thank you. I bought it used so I had no way of knowing, looking at it there is a small motor on the top so I had my doubts if it would turn up down side to side left to right.

Yes and no. Although YOU can only move the gimbal up and down, Solo itself moves the gimbal in all 3 axes automatically. That's how the camera stays rock-solid steady even while Solo is bounced around by air turbulence. So, yes, all three motors in the gimbal are used (when it's fulfilling its primary purpose of image stabilization), but only one of the motors is directly controlled by you.

Now that's an answer. THANK YOU!!! THAT'S HOW I figured it worked but did not know.
