Having one "mishap" in the past which found me jumping in a small pond to retrieve my Phantom 2 (dried out with no issues) I have to say it makes me nervous watching all you brave flyers zooming around over rivers, lakes, and oceans. In my case the pond was only about 4 feet deep but if the Solo were to come down over a deep body of water-- kiss it's bad-ass black body goodbye!
You guys putting together all those cool videos over water just have nerves of steel?
Seems there might be a way-- if it doesn't exist already-- for some kind of emergency flotation add-on gizmo that could at least provide a way to retrieve a drowning Solo. Not the floating landing pads I've seen mentioned but something you could manually deploy in that kind of emergency?
