Number 2 of the needed documentation list calls for;

    • sUA Model Designation
    • sUA Serial Number
    • Class (Airplane, Airship, Rotorcraft, Gyroplane, Ducted Fan)
    • sUA Maximum Takeoff Weight
    • Category (Land, Sea, or Both)

Does anyone know if 3DR is going to provide all this?

i believe this is for someone who is useing his drone for profesional photography.
the amature form should be different.
you won't be able to register theese until the 21 of dec.

I'm pretty confident that registration will be much simpler. Most likely,
Name
address
phone number
make and model
serial number
date and place of purchase

Has anyone used the new sUAS Registration registration system yet? What information are they asking for?

I may wait a while to see if the AMA can make any progress.

I just registered. you need to provide name, address, credit card info. you also need to establish an account with the FAA. Warning this is not a lifetime registration, it is only good for 3 years

Submitting your phone number is optional (not required).
Nowhere do they ask for any of these: Make and model, serial number, date and place of purchase.
They ask for your credit card info, but the $5 fee is currently being refunded automatically.

In short, nothing whatsoever is asked about your drone(s). You don't even have to own one to register. A 10-character "UAS Certificate Number" which starts with "FA" is issued to you personally (not to your drone). It expires in 3 years.

This is for commercial drones (sUAS) and needed after you have received your grant of Section 333 Exemption and been issued a Certificate of Waiver or Authorization). This requires a physical AC 8050-1 Form. To make it easy on people, we have a sUAS Aircraft Registration DIY Kit or we can file it for you.

Where can the model # be found on solo? I know the serial number starts with S11A....

Strange: The sticker on the belly of my Solo says "M/N: S110A", but the sticker on the bottom of the box it came in says "Model: Solo, SA10A". I don't know why they differ.
