Anyone successfully fix a Control Stick Error message? I have searched online, and all I have found are dead links to possible fixes. I have open solo 4 installed and tried to do a stick calibration using the app, but every time I try, the SidePilot app crashes. This may be the end of the line for my solo. Bummer as it still looks like new.

Have an android device that you can buy and install Solex on for the stick calibration? I run both Solex and SidePilot - Solex works better for some things (software updates and compass calibrations - at least for me).

Maybe buy a used controller and go through the re pairing process to the bird as maybe it's a hardware problem with an app problem.

Thanks tjones. Today, I opened the radio and made sure the joystick connectors were well seated, which they were. Thinking I may have a bad calibration file and hoping it can be reset or recreated. I sent a note off to the SidePilot developer. I don’t have an android device. I’ll work this angle for a few more days. If I can’t get the radio working, I may look into an android device. That or sell this thing for parts and get something different.

I was able to find an online document that allowed me to reset the stick calibration, and I am now past that point. The radio seems to act fine now. It also connects with the solo. It got dark outside, so I figured best not to try a flight in the dark. I did a level calibration and tried to do a compass calibration, but I had the drone indoors without a GPS lock, and it wouldn't calibrate. I am hoping that is the reason why and not something else. I was able to start the motors briefly without the propellers on. Some progress anyway.
