control signal to solo

probably a dumb question but, does the remote always have to have a line of site with the solo, for example, if i’m flying it and fly it behind some trees would it loose connection ??
 
Solo uses a 2.4 Ghz signal, which is in fact absorbed/attenuated quite a bit by foliage. Different antennas can help, but if you are out of LOS you are outside the law in most jurisdictions anyways....

Just know where you are flying and the obstacles that could get in the way. Altitude is your friend and if you lose FPV you might want to
try turning the quad to regain control and hopefully, you have your RTH settings setup higher than any of the obstructions in the area.
