connection issues

i was flying my drone out to 400-500 meters without the gimbal head and i had no issues with connection but i go out with my gimbal head and i was probably out at 250 meters with a clear range of view to the vehicle and i lost my connection? did this happen cause of the gimbal? any ideas?

Make sure GoPro wifi is not on.
