Battery with lower capacity

Tester shows batt orig capacity was 5200 but is now 2020 ... another says 3600 .....
Can they get back to 5200 or is that just what happens ?

My understanding is the last of the 3Dr solo batteries were made in 2015, getting a bit old now, I have batteries I have tested and they come up the same as yours, its to do with the chemical they use in LiPo, I am not a scientist, have only read and be told this.

My old ones are in the pile ready for a rebuild at some stage.

True that. The new batteries in the box even though manufactured 2015 show a true 5200mAh.

Capacity goes down due to imbalance from cell degradation. It is irreversible.

The batteries need the cells replaced. This document has all the info you need.
