That doesn't sound right. You definitely don't have to send in your bag or GoPro. Just a few questions.
Was this persistent across power cycles?
Look for the dim green light. This shouldn't persist for more than a few seconds

Hi Barry, there aren't any battery LED issues that I know of. Open a support ticket, we'll get that battery replaced for you! I also haven't heard of any issues with GP 4 blk batteries freezing up. Strange, please also open up a ticket with us, we'll get to the bottom of it.
Hi Joe, we're working on this. The video records in the correct aspect on the GP, it just is squished in the output. The problem is with GP and we're working with them to resolve.
