    I work on high end machining equipment. Sometimes you just have to remove all power to reset whatever the controllers are upset about. Everything is a computer. Removing power is a universal attempt for most buggy situations.

    Can't help with the image issue, but consider the following: Does the controller complain of a firmware mismatch after reset? Do you have more than one controller handy? If so you use a controller that has not been updated to the latest OS4. It should connect to the copter. Do the update again...

    Make sure all VPN apps are disabled before connecting to the 3DR controller/solo. VPN apps interfere with the Solo network.

    Sounds like you did a factory reboot without the restore partition updated. The only thing I can recommend is pairing a pre-OpenSolo4 controller to the copter and doing OpenSolo 4 upgrade to the copter again.
