Thank you for the quick reply. I am wanting more distance and I am looking to get a Phantom 4 or Mavic. I am not a brand slave either, I bought the Solo because of the great price and really like the Solo but find myself wanting more out of the machine after numerous RTH after signal losses.

Hi, I bought two solos but can't get the range I would like. I am looking at a Phantom 4 for so I can get extra distance. From someone with real world experience with both, would you recommend having both "breeds in the stable"?

Will 3dr Iris props fit on a Solo? I know they are not as long as stock propellers, but is the thread size on the motor shafts the same?

Thanks for the information guys, this is a brand new hobby for me. Lots of uses for a solo 3dr, my plan is to use it for some aerial photography and property surveying/inspection here at the farm.

I pulled the trigger on a solo because the price was great, after looking at other offerings. I also picked up a Syma X8 to practice with. I have been reading lots on drones the past few weeks and decided to join the forum. Thanks for having me, looking forward to learning lots on here. Cheers...
