Having a problem with OpenSolo 3.0 and uncommanded yaw. Tried to upload both .bin and .txt logs. BIN extension was rejected, text file's size was rejected. . I updated my green cube Solo a couple of days ago to 3.0 and did a test flight yesterday cut short by a problem. Update was flawless...

I have successfully used a Hero4 Silver Mission Planner and OpenDroneMap to create both hi-res maps as well as 3d models. The images must be flattened and geotagged That said I think GoPro cameras suck. I will be looking at other mapping cameras in the coming months. Good luck

Yeah I was intrigued at first, but it does seem not up to the task. Maybe for a backup rangefinder when close to the ground, but useless as a scanning lidar.

I think all of those prep courses are a waste of money. Used nothing but FAA provided materials and passed on the first go. Nothing earth- shattering. Pass the practice exams and you're good to go.

3dr recommends to not fly below freezing. I do a lot of cold weather astronomy and nothing shortens the life of plastic like cycling between warm/cold. You may get away with 30, personally I think 21 is too cold. I wouldn't.

What does it do in manual? Is it normal? I ended up having to reload parameters.. From what you describe, it truly does sound like toiletbowling. My guess would. Bad compass Cal or bad parameter load.. Hope this helps and you're airborne soon.
