I used a pwm relay turning makes to ground the shutter on my gopro. I attached it to I believe pwm 7 or 8 and set that to cam trigger.

Ok! So I installed the new iris mn2213s and so far solo is equally stable as it was with stock motors. Flight time is identical. But the big difference is that its a touch faster and much quieter.

Not really but if it goes well I might. Just going to be for fun. Not going for any records of course. Just so I have something for when I want something more laid back to fly since Solo isn't the most fun to fly fpv and my race quad is too much of a handful.

Haha I unfortunately didn't get any it was a friend of mine. So we can both be jealous. They'd be great for a project in working on. Aiming for a 40 minute flight fpv.

Sorry I meant 950kv. So far they are running cooler than stock. The fact they were made for Iris does not suggest their limitations.

I know a few of you already are experiencing noisey motors likely from the bearings. I have a friend out here at the university who had a motor show signs of inevitable destruction and so he turned to the web and got his hands on a set of those $3 iris motors 3DR was selling. Turns out they work...

I second what this man says. I should have went over re-pairing the device in my video. If that doesn't work try a factory reset followed by a firmware upgrade.

I am attempting to gather data on Solo's motors to attempting to find cheap ways to improve efficiency. The motors are likely to be custom made SunnySky X2216 880kv motors. So if it doesn't inconvenience you to much I would like to get everyone's Amp draw at hover and your average flight times

It is a good idea to transport lithium polymer batteries separate from the aircraft and in a fire proof bag or box. It's must less dangerous and much less costly if one of the packs is defective or damaged in a way that it will vent corrosive gasses and potentially start a fire.

Probably going to have to disconnect the battery. It won't hurt it. Worst comes to worst you'll have to rebind the controller or factory reset.
