That's the right way to balance them (matching up pairs of blades based on weight - again assuming the hub is balanced). Can you give us more item specifics from the Hobby King website? What is the right thread pitch? What length and pitch are the props? Item number?

They could be but don't tend to be. And it's not like you can't check them with a prop balancer. No doubt balance, in life as well as in props, is a good thing.

I am under the impression that folding props are easier to balance. You don't need a prop balancer. All you need is a scale.

No, and the more I think about it, for the solo in that situation, left stick straight down is probably a better idea.
