Where do you put FPVLR in the Solo Backpack?

I just got the FPVLR antenna and am completely struck, the difference is like night and day (and that's not the stock antennas but the ALFA paddles - stock becomes laughable in the face of FPVLR). I really appreciate this thread as I was chewing on the same thing - where to put it in the pack...

    Solo Rescues Phantom......(look a like?)

@Jubalr did a great job hooking his target and bringing it down, and while there are cautious details to be taken I applaud the innovation and eagerness to help despite the risks. If he got snagged it wouldn't be a complete loss, he could just land and bust out the ladder. He saw a solution...

Problem with new gimbal - video scrolling

How much do you guys rock? Just finished a 1a test flight - 6 point sat acquisition in 1 minute and can take off, 10 point acquisition in 2 minutes during flight. Video feed is gorgeous, gimbal was smooth as ever, I'm able to use the map in flight after switching between Solo wireless and my...

Problem with new gimbal - video scrolling

Okay, not so much RF shielding then but that the proximity of the shield is messing with the sensor? If that's the case there's only a business card between the foil and the sensor, not really helping much. Alrighty, I'll disassemble it and try it that way. Thx! - R

Problem with new gimbal - video scrolling

I can now confirm that the new HDMI cable fixed the problem. Props to @JR for his article, it was very helpful: Relish3d HDMI Ribbon Cable Received... The new cable is shielded and as JR said the clearance is .. ridiculously tight.. but good enough. Props to @jeeboont for being communicative...

    GPS lost in open areas

Great thread guys, thank you very much. I'm having the exact same symptoms - flights have been good until recently and now I'm loosing GPS for ~10 seconds before it comes back, about 3 times to a battery. I've been digging in there, I bet it's a loose connector. I'll check. Thx! - R

Problem with new gimbal - video scrolling

Interesting, the data makes sense. I'll do that next and see how it goes over! Thank you for pointing that out. - R

Problem with new gimbal - video scrolling

Yes - I received and had installed the new cable last night - I'm still testing but so far the new HDMI cable did fix the problem. The problem I'm having now is GPS loss after reassembly - I could only test for ~10 minutes because while I started with an eight-point GPS lock something happened...

Downloading Maps with the Solo App

It works alright - as long as you keep the app open you can switch to a different wireless, go back to the app and get the maps you need, then switch back to Solo wireless then back to the app, and the maps stay put. I've been trying to figure this out for the longest time - Thank you for this...

    My Solo vanished

This is really rare - you need to pursue the logs alright, they'll give you and 3DR all they need to replace it (assuming hardware failure, which sure sounds likely from what you describe) . The logs are in the controller, and indeed you can use SCP via Mac terminal to retrieve them. Good...
