Stash of Solo goodies for sale in Australia

Hi all, I'm heading overseas so need to consolidate my Solo gear. Prices are in Australian dollars, and not including postage from Perth. 2 Gimbals. Both come with the H4S weights. I have one set only of the bigger weight (H3?), the sunshade, and the aftermarket clip that allows access to the...

Solo Providing Telemetry Data to FLIR Vue Pro?.

That's great that it works now. You need the Vue Pro R if you want radiometric data, but if you do have the R model then you should be able to view the radiometric data using Flir Tools (download from the Flir website). I can't help you with Agisoft sorry, I use Pix4D.

Solo Providing Telemetry Data to FLIR Vue Pro?.

svirk, PWM 3 and 4 aren't necessary for this to work. Firstly, your green wire needs to go to Ser2 RX and white wire to Ser2 TX. Normally those two should be right next to each other, so it looks odd how yours are positioned. Secondly you need to enable Serial 2 output from the Pixhawk, which...

    Solex for Solo

Yep it booted to green LEDs, but no 'failed boot' warning tone. It connected to Solex fine. Thanks for the advice.

    Solex for Solo

I have just installed a Green Cube in one of my Solos, and I am loading the firmware via Solex. The instructions for installing the python package on both Solex and Github state that it has to be done prior to installing the Green Cube. Is this compulsory? I have to ask because the black cube...

GIMBAL TEARDOWN - SORT OF (and now with some rebuild)

I know it's been a while, but I had a similar thought, so here's a photo of the insides of the end HDMI connector. If you were able to cut/dig into the back of the plug then you may be able to expose those pins without fully dissassembling it, but you'd need something like a very fine Dremel...

    Site Scan vs Drone Deploy

This thread isn't about 3DR's business plan, there's plenty of threads about that on these and other forums. People (including me) are making money with the Solo, and will continue to do so whatever happens to 3DR. And that's all down to people providing useful additions and mods to what is a...

    Site Scan vs Drone Deploy

Hi all, So I went to a SiteScan promo event today, and got a chance to see the Sony camera and gimbal up close and in action. First thing I noticed was that it is a servo gimbal. This was done to keep weight down apparently. This does make the live feed during flight quite unstable, but hey...

Forward flight angle for 3DR Solo - Aerial Photography

Jonty, small world, how's things? I've sent you a PM, or email me using the form on www.elevo.com.au As a rule of thumb I use 1 degree of tilt per m/s airspeed, but any sort of wind will mess with that so it's only a rough estimate.

    GPS Battery

Nice work Rich. This might explain a weird thing I saw in one of my flight logs, where the GPS Time flat-lined for the first minute or so, then suddenly corrected itself and started increasing normally once it had picked up satellites. GPS time is in blue, number of satellites in orange. Solo...

    Site Scan vs Drone Deploy

Thanks for the photos and info about the Escadrone gimbal Ørjan. It's so hard to get a feel for how they work from the website. Has anyone tried the Drotag from Airborne Projects? 3DRs stance on the Sony camera only being sold with SiteScan is crazy. There's a massive market of people who...

    Solo Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW)

Interesting, thanks for the link. I wonder where they got that from. It looks like the Brits have to provide a lot of information - CASA in Australia just wants Manufacturer, Model, MTOW and a unique identifier.
