Do you know if the gimbal worked on the original setup before you upgraded? The reason I ask is because the gimbal was originally configured by the old 3DR firmware. Unless the gimbal previously functioned it was possibly never setup.

What are the accessories in question?

There is a static mount for a GoPro and Solo. These are around, and have seen them on Ebay. It snaps right into the gimbal bay.

If you can scrounge up an HDMI cable with the appropriate connectors, try going from the camera to an HDMI capable display, or a TV. This will eliminate or ID the camera as the culprit.

Couple suggestions - I had a similar issue with a Hero 3, updating (flashing) it with the now unsupported firmware "fixed" it. Also, there have been numerous issues regarding the HDMI cable - they fail. Good luck!
