Thanks, I wondered how the beam pattern was as if I tip the handset down to get a better view of the screen would I lose signal and set the RTH off.

I looked at the FPVLR a while back and wonder iff it might be a bit narrow beam pattern, How do you find it? Are you constantly adjusting to keep strength of signal or just a general point in that direction?

It's not that difficult, I've heard some people only upgrade the controller but I failed to see the point of that. I think this may cover my needs for the next while if not then an antenna may be next...

Not sure how much useful information I could add, I watched the videos that others had posted. The controller took about 15 minutes to finish while the drone was about an hour.Install went smooth with no issues but I did find one of my antenae connectors in the drone was not clipped in place but...

Finally got out and tested the WI-Fi cards I recently installed (MicroTik) Ran out over the tree line and up the river 1285 meters (4215 feet) and still had signal and that was with the stock antennas. As for the GPS (Mro) it picks up satellites before the hand controller and Samsung have booted...

Welcome, I'm also from Vancouver Island (Well currently up in Northern Alberta)... You will find lots of informative people here on the forum. I look forward to seeing some video when you get around to it....

I don't believe you can have both connected by WIFI but you could have one connected to the HDMI port on the controller which will accomplish what you want...

I have the Dubro 499 and the EJH Precision Prop Balancer Shaft, the combination works quite well.... of course another issue could be the wiring layout for the gimbal... Have you changed the lens on your go pro if so which lens are you using?

I think these may be more from vibration or imbalance rather than gusts, I have flown in gusts and the movements are not as consistent....

I wish we had a few older trains to try shooting maybe one day.... Very nice scenery but the vibrations ruin it for me....

Here is one of the many areas of town destroyed by fire back in May. Recently the ban on drones was lifted so I managed to get out and take a few shots. Was quite windy with gusts up to about 20 mph but the Solo handled it quite well....

Satellites are showing in white, the A/B buttons are set for cable cam and orbit

are any of you having an issue with the solo going to manual fly mode on its own, mine has done this several times in the last little while, today it switched over and started to drift I looked at the controller and it showed 11 satellites. Any ideas am I just missing something?
