    Australia is great, except for....

There are freight forwarders that will look after this issue to a degree so long as you understand there is zero warranty. There is still protection going on in Australia from overseas, usually the tech in cars is way behind but sold as new in Oz. But I also agree with the hub and logistics...

    Solo: A flying paper weight

With Australia, it has been always been "protected" so that companies can maximise the Gross Profit. In some cases it is cheap and others you don't want to know. SOLO is an expensive item and support, well you have to understand when you buy that if you damage it you fix it yourself and or buy...

    Australia is great, except for....

There is and always has been issues with International Sales of basically anything from the USA to Australia. That's essentially the crux of this issue. It has gotten better over the last 5 or so years. But there is a lot of ignorance or rather lack of knowledge in regards to International sales...

By to my Solo. Getting KARMA

DJ gets a medal for working over GoPro. Calling theirs Karma was a dig at 3DR and well, DJ just took out a good portion of the GP market the very next day. Kudos to them for that,

50% of the SOLO Motherboard appears non-used.

Thanks I slept well hahaha. It seems like they tried turn it into as RasberryPi half way from the HDMI and WIFI cards. As it looked like they may had previously wanted that all on the Mainboard. If they made it a little smaller it would of been handy. Anyway thanks for the detail

50% of the SOLO Motherboard appears non-used.

Hey there, This I guess could be an off topic, but every time I open up the solo I look at the back of the board and see how under utilised this was and from what I can see it is not part of the support of the chassis per say. I see a few holes drilled in it and power distribution, but it...

By to my Solo. Getting KARMA

Well I would have to say that this is an interesting thread, from reading and writing lessons to some sound perspectives. I can only speak from a far away opinion from Australia whereby this user group was one of the reasons, I got my solo (And the 3dr Solo Music Videos)... hahahaha... My...

GoPro 5, Karma, Gimbel on Italian site

yeah I was j yeah I was just speaking to a mate about that.. Guessing Rib Cage will have to be quite innovative this time.. and the product in its entirety looks much more "Appletized" AKA consumer driven.

GoPro 5, Karma, Gimbel on Italian site

So Colin leaves, Go Pro Releases and brings video properly to the consumer after 3DR tests the water for them, while we all tinker around.. :) I am not a fan of any brand, more a fan of automated features and flight itself and I can only see with the advent of 5G soon perhaps the end of direct...

3DR Out of Stock for Solo and Gimbal

I think they had better get someone to start talking very clearly and professionally about the miss-leading information about 3DR solo that appears to be in abundance about various aspects. All that they need to do is to provide this in a document on the website to smooth things over. Obscurity...

Australian National Domestic Flights - Batteries

yeah normally I have no drama. So this time I pulled them up when they checked my carryon and I asked them the limits. There may have been a recent policy change alongside the Samsung 7 drama recall... Anyway just wanted to supply a heads up.

Australian National Domestic Flights - Batteries

Hey all, Just on my way to Perth from Brisbane and the Carry On 3DR bag was checked for LiPo. The Current Rules (because I asked was) No larger than 160 Watts Only Two Batteries Per Person So I got through with two batteries ok. Hope this helps, make sure you pack the extras with others...

Another wave of x 3dr folks support arducopter

I think developing for IOS only is going to be fundamentally a short life. Apple have tremendous consumer markets, but in the Enterprise? No, not really, I have spend the best part of 20 years in the enterprise market in solutions architecture and well keeping platform consistency really helps...
