Which Go Pro Camera is recommend for Solo?

Which Go Pro Camera is recommend for Solo? There was a thread started somewhere about which cameras (Go Pros) where tested with Solo. I have been looking for it, but I cannot not find it.

I'm using Hero 4 Silver...had no issue..works great!

As of right now:

3+ Silver
3+ Black
All Hero 4 models.

Those will work with the "optional" gimbal (the gimbal really isn't optional if you want smooth footage).

Without the gimbal, any camera you can mount is fine if it has hdmi out. You can use the frame (included) for many versions of the GoPro, or use an adapter (that you supply) to hang a different model. Still photographers or mapping guys may hang different cameras, but they don't need the stabilization video requires.

I thought the go pro 3 was the only the only one that was designed with all of the features working

And I cannot find it or remember where I saw it,

It also list which camera s 3 Dr was going to update in the future

GoPro 4 is your best bet with the most control. Right now you have minimal control with anything as 3DR has not released those features.
