Using pause button ch7 for shutter control

has anyone used ch7 and the pause to operate a servo for shutter control?

I have followed hackster instructions and still can’t get this to work. I have tested the servo and if I make adjustments to the min and max on the servo it does move but doesn’t operate off the pause button. I have been searching this site but no luck.

I did read that this option may not be available with the latest firmware in the drone, I got my solo December 2016 and did all the updates at the time befor3 first flight.

Thanks Just Bruce, does this mean the version of the solo firmware I have doesn’t support the pause button as a shutter ? Can anyone confirm this

I have always been scared of doing this but maybe its time to be brave ( I am not a programmer or software expert)
