Installed Gimbal - No Camera Options Available In App - GP4 Silver

Installed the gimbal yesterday.

The gimbal powers on and it orients itself and is working correctly.

The GP when seated gives back a live video stream - so the connections are working.

When I go into settings on the app the GoPro is listed in the list and is recognized by the system.

The settings above, where I choose video and camera settings and record options are grayed out.

The install seems to be complete - I redid it just to make sure.

Looking through the threads here and dont see anything that addresses this specifically.

Any ideas?

Got it figured out.

It was the firmware update.

I had trouble doing the update and had to go long on google to figure out how to "force" the update.

All functionality has been achieved with the gimbal.

Glad to hear you got it working.

Perhaps you should post your solution for future users who stumble upon this thread with the same problem?

Have you already tried updating the GoPro's firmware yet?

It was the firmware for the GoPro.

The update would not complete by using the app or the desktop transfer.

I had to download the update to my desktop --> copy it to the SD card --> put the card back into the GoPro and turned it on.

It took a while for it to update - it kept beeping and flashing red lights - but it finally updated.

Held my breath and put it back into the gimbal and fired everything up.

Full functionality.
