Can anyone help me figure these problems out? Ive updated Solo to the latest software and have carefully installed the gimbal according to everyone's advice, removed battery tray and routed wires etc.

I had the same problem prior to the last update, but the last update fixed it. One of my gimbal motors was vibrating but I couldn't tell which one.
I would definitely send a service ticket to 3DR so they can view your logs.

Yah... That looks mechanical to me. I would call (not write) 3DR and start a ticket. Unfortunately I think you may need a new one.

I sent them the video of mine doing the same thing. My wiring routing was fine, I checked from the top. They created an RMA for me right away.

The new gimbal was shipped fast and is perfect - no weird sounds, just a gentle whir if you put your ear up to it.
