Hey guys,

Do you know of a cotton like material that can be potentially used to for dampening the and movement and vibration of the HDMI and Gimbal Data cable. Initially I was thinking cotton, but that might be risky against the open electronics.

Why not Sorbothane? It is made for this purpose, and is non conductive.

Sorbothane is commonly used to isolate vibration. If your looking at retaining or supporting the cable, then a silicon based adhesive would work the easiest. Just create a reasonable sized gap between the mounting surface and the cable. You want the absorbing material to flex with the cable rather than hold tight to the mounting surface.
