Curious what you all use for transporting your solo on a commercial flight? I was going to take a different drone and at the last minute have decided to take one of my solos. I have the original shipping box and a backpack. I was going to use the backpack but it doesn't look like it can withstand the luggage handlers. Any thoughts or suggestions? Should I risk it? Flying nonstop to Belize on Southwest if it matters. Thanks

Many forum members (including me) have successfully brought the Solo backpack on board as a "carry-on" item. It fits into the overhead bins of most jets. Twice I had short flights on puddle jumpers, whose overhead bins are smaller than normal, and the backpack didn't fit. They happily "checked" it for free and returned it to me in the jetway upon arrival.

FYI (and you may already know this) but all lithium ion batteries are REQUIRED to be in carry-on luggage. So even if you end up hard casing solo and the other bits, your batteries need to end up in your carry-on bag.
