I purchased my Solo mid-December and have yet to fly it due to the cold weather in Fargo, ND. I feel like I should test it out before too long in case there are any defects that could be handled by BB. Will flying it in sub 30-degree temps void my warranty? I am hoping to take it on a low key 5 to 10 flight, just to test it out a bit. Thoughts....

Nope. You're fine. Just let it sit on the ground for a little while so the internal sensors (mainly the barometer) adjust to the temperature before you try to fly it. Your battery life will be less in the cold than it will in the warm weather. And keep an eye on the phone/tablet battery too.

My tablet froze up on my second battery yesterday during flight(thank goodness for the Solos safety features) at those temps (cheapo BB insignia 8 inch). Might want to warm it between flights. Everything besides a few moments of panic turned out well however.
