Can you use the SJ4000 or SJ5000 with the solo 3 axis gimbal?

I was wondering, would the SJ cameras work in place of the gopro with the 3 axis gimble?

I would say negative. Only because of the connector meant to slip into back of GoPro for camera control. Otherwise it would probably work with no control just manually starting and stopping camera but that connector will be in the way of setting the camera in the gimbal.

No. The Solo gimbal is tailor fit to the size of the GoPro 3 & 4, and although the SJ's are close in size, they are not exact. And as stated, the connector in the back prevents other action cams from fitting into the slot. I've tried with my SJ4000 and Git2 cameras.
