TBS 900kv V2 motor... Vibrations are not high, but I can't balance it and the vibes seem to jump around. There's also a disconcerting noise that doesn't quite sound like the others, almost sounds like a rattle at lower RPMs... I'm guessing bearing. Any thoughts?

The setup is an homage to the late @RolandS888 who we lost to DJI....

Protruding and hitting the magnets is my guess. The clearance between the stator and the bell magnets is fairly close. Could even be a excessive epoxy coating on the stator hitting that one out magnet when spun. Bearings would typically make a ticking sound. Your motor was a thumping type sound.

If you turn the motor by hand you should be able to feel the bump and be in the same position.. If bearing, it will not be in the same place when turned as it will move with the bearing's rotation.

Long round trip for the TBS motor swap, good they are taking care of it....I guess we'll never know what the cause is now....
