Hey all,

Just on my way to Perth from Brisbane and the Carry On 3DR bag was checked for LiPo.

The Current Rules (because I asked was)

  • No larger than 160 Watts
  • Only Two Batteries Per Person
So I got through with two batteries ok.

Hope this helps, make sure you pack the extras with others.

I've travelled with four batteries earlier this year on Jetstar from Gold Coast to Avalon. I think they had your batteries in the wrong class, I will try and dig up the paper work but that sounds wrong. When I went through I had all the supporting paperwork, I had five security blokes tell me different things and they had to get a supervisor. Basically they didn't have a clue, that's why I printed out and took the current and correct information with me.

yeah normally I have no drama. So this time I pulled them up when they checked my carryon and I asked them the limits. There may have been a recent policy change alongside the Samsung 7 drama recall... Anyway just wanted to supply a heads up.

Bloody Samsung, they now think everything else with a battery will catch fire! Will have to look into this for my next trip. Thanks for the info.
