3DR Solo portable charging / Solar Charging

Hi guys,

In January I'm hiking 1400km across New Zealand and, against my better judgement, I'm dying to take my solo.

My question is surrounding power. Is there any way to adapt the charger with a cable hack or similar, to charge battery by:

A - solar charging panels (http://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerPo...F8&qid=1445281184&sr=8-1&keywords=anker+solar)

B - Portable usb power block

I'm really interested in *if* this is possible. I'm entirely open to stripping my 3dr down, cutting cables up / and or / breaking loosing my solo along the way.

Voltage is all wrong... And to charge a solo battery with a solar charger would take an eternity.

Might be better to get a traditional lipo charger that can be powered by a 12v small car or motorcycle battery. It would be heavy though.

Solar Panel Kit - Save on this 45 Watt Solar Panel Kit

That is a cheap example but it works. Look at how big it is and it only provides 45 watts when the solo charger needs around 50 watts
