was gonna Return Solo for Mavic but....

I own 2 Solo units (one never taken out of the box) and one which I have heavily modified to improve performance, but I can't wait to get my hands on a Mavic. I am so jealous of all the rock-steady footage that I see online from the Mavic - something I could never achieve with my Solo. Not to...

Introducing.. DJI Mavic. Karma Killer at $999!

Since the Mavic was announced, I had listed for sale a brand new Solo with a brand new backpack and a Gopro Hero4 Black with Peau 3.97mm - for £1000 (in UK). The idea was to swap my backup Solo for the Mavic. Can anyone guess how much interest I got for it? Yup, zero.

Introducing.. DJI Mavic. Karma Killer at $999!

A $399 out-of-the-box Solo gets you nowhere fast. It cost me so much getting mine to a point where I'm (sort of) happy with it.

Introducing.. DJI Mavic. Karma Killer at $999!

This is miles ahead of anything on the market. I can't think of a reason to buy anything else instead - can anyone?

Solex: New App just for Solo!

This would be amazing if it supported PixHawk + companion computer (Raspberry Pi, Intel Edison) to bring the same functionality as what Solo offers.

    Solo charging options ??

This would be pretty slow and wasteful. The most efficient way to charge your batteries in the car is to use DC-DC converters. For any load over 120W use thick cables (8AWG) connected directly to the battery, but make sure you keep them short (cable resistance).

    3DR GPS Shield

I've had problems with Solo sat lock since day one. Comparing to my DIY octo using M8N, Solo never came near in term of GPS accuracy. Considering all Smart Shots rely on GPS, my experience with Solo was not great. I have bought it in UK from someone who brought it with them from US, and 3DR told...

    B+H Photo selling Solo+Gimbal for $372!!

I am afraid 3DR are planning to discontinue Solo. In UK they sell for half the price, with incredible bundle deals: http://dronesforless.co.uk/3dr/3dr-solo-quadcopter-no-gimbal-basic-accessory-kit-bundle This worldwide sale seems like a stock liquidation.

    Solo Multi-Charger

Thanks, I appreciate it. I took this project out of necessity, because there is no readily available solution on the market. You are not the first one interested in buying one. How much would you pay for something like this? I hope my design and solution will help others to build their own...

    Solo Multi-Charger

With regards to the power draw, each converter draws max 95W. To charge the battery at 1C you need 5.4A at 16.8V, just over 90W. The circuit has a 95% efficiency, therefore it will draw around 95W from the source. At full power, the multi-charger will draw max 475W. You also need to factor in...
