Honestly, the QX10 might only be slightly better than your Hero 4 with a non distorted lens upgrade. Zoom lens and movable parts in general don't help for mapping and that camera still has a small sensor. If it's cheap enough, by all means test it out and report back! :) Good luck!

Usually fireworks are close to public gatherings. I would suggest a note saying the video was shot over private property. That seens really more ok to me, not sure what TC would think.

Frustrating that you need to have FB to get this info first hand. I even got an email back from Ryan from 3DR last week saying "There will be no upgrades on the GPS for the moment, you can send us the logs so we can review them and see if there is an issue with the GPS." No mention of the shield...
