Google vortex ring state on quads... might be that what happened. You came down too fast on straight line vertically. My opinion, but might be wrong about this.

That gps lock/drop in manual flight is the only defect I have found, yesterday got my trust back with this thing. Flew with follow me, through our small home town with high winds. :)

In 2.4, there is an option to use: "Return to me".

Yep, I'll wait for lock until bug is fixed. With some altitude that drop could be easily corrected while hovering stationary (2 meters was just too close). But... what would happen, if Solo is in forward or sideward motion, when tilted forward or to side? Won't test that. :D

Done this many times, easy to float up in the air to get better signal... when it's not windy. But, the point is that acquiring signal and cutting power from motors, that was new to me.

Ok, so one motor was going bad, bearings. Switched to a new pod. Then off to floating around, testing and since gps was taking more than 10 seconds to acquire, on to manual mode. Floating, floating... suddenly gps-signal was found. Damn that scared me! Video: Close call, all power was cut...

Using just standard hero4 silver and if i recollect using medium fov, 1080p. Didn't use fisheye removal, since going low (if i did, don't remember... :D )

I bet he put barley to ground, have to ask when he's not busy. Driving speed was 28km/h, and that thing goes automated by gps... :D No wind, and Solo stayed clean.

GPS mode, still training with manual flight and this was a small patch. Standing by that field and doing what can be done. Edit: with medium speed and gimbal. Just kept up with this guy driving 28km/h. :)

Just a test drive... neighbour was sowing something, don't know what. But damn he was fast. Have to put some more speed to solo soon. :)
