What is this? Board identification

This was attached to my pixhawk when I got it used. At the time I knew what it was and removed it because I didn't need it.

I believe it is something to do with telemetry from the receiver, but really don't remember.

I stumbled across it today and wonder if I have a use for it today.

That Sipex IC is a 3v to 5.5v RS-232 transceiver, if that helps narrow down the board's function.
 
Yeah, that's part of why I took it off. I think it's a converter to feed telemetry data from the pixhawk to the receiver.

I didn't need it since it all shows up in tower.
