Virgin Islands solo use

I plan on taking my solo to the virgin islands and was wondering if I use it there will I get roaming charges because it runs off of the gps in my phone? Also does it also use data while in use?

GPS for solo is not based off your phone.. GPS uses sats. that's like GPS you use in your car is not using your phone data..your wifi link between solo and controller and the readout on your controller showing GPS is from solo, not your phone.

my wife is from the Virgin Islands (St. Thomas) and when we go. i'm using the hell out of solo.. have fun
