Solo Issue connecting to Solex but connects to Transmitter

I was flying my drone 2 days ago wanted to use it today but had to charge the battery in both the transmitter and solo. After charged, Solex connected to Transmitter but not the drone. Here are the steps I took to fix the problem:
-Factory Reset
-Im not sure if the Solo is resetting but it does flash fast(amber light) after about a 2 mins it pulse amber light( 2 every 2 secs) with green light
-updated Solex app
-solex sees the transmitter but does not connect to solo

Have you paired the bird to the GCS?

Make sure your device has no VPN running.

Whetstone makes a good point. A VPN app running in the background really screws things up.

The Solex App, only connects to the controller. The bird also connects to the controller. The Bird, must be bound to the controller before all three are happy. Search for Pairing the 3DR Solo Quad-copter.
