Transplant day one is done, here's the progress so far.
This is basically a 75% dry fit, I haven't soldered or run any wires and there's going to be a second battery on the platform thats on the bottom side rear of the frame. The Here GPS is going in front of the motherboard and the gimbal controller will be on top of the gimbal platform, behind the yaw motor.
Speaking of the gimbal, I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to leave it so far forward, so it'll probably be hung lower and scooted back some.
I've got some 350kv pancake motors already and some 750kv pancakes on the way, not sure if I'll go with the 350s, 750s, or both in an X8 configuration.
Am I making any obvious mistakes?
Comments? Concerns? Criticism? Suggestions?

Nice!
One thing with the Tarot kit, just from past experience do not over tighten the motor pod cap screws that attach to the arms, put a small washer on each of the cap screws otherwise they will pull through the top plastic and crack the through holes. Good luck with build keep us updated please, I'm curious how the second battery works out for you..

Thanks for the advice, I was planning to drill a hole behind each motor and run M3 bolts through the brackets and arms to keep the motor pods from getting all cattywampus on me. Good idea, or no?

Sir, this transplant is awesome. Please take pictures/document how you are going to wire up the bigger ESC's. I am thinking of buying one last Solo in an attempt to revive a waterproof drone I purchased 4 years ago and swap out the DJI gen 1 flight control. I love the drone on the water but simply doesn't provide the updated technology to fly it. I have attempted to tune it for years however this was first gen of this thing and with it's setup it is dangerous especially with the motors and big a-- carbon fiber blades it is swinging. Would love to convert if I can. Now it is just sitting in my basement. (Mariner waterproof drone)

Can you tell me the dimensions of the transplant system board and battery tray you have on the top of your pic? (Length, Width, and depth with battery bat) I am sure I will need to modify the frame to accommodate but just want to know by how much?
