Return to Home not working

I crashed my solo about 3 weeks ago. Ordered one of those "best buy" returned drones off of ebay. I swapped my old pixhawk into the best buy drone and got it to work. I ended up doing a factory reset and have everything working again EXCEPT the return to home button. When I push the button on my controller, the controller beeps, vibrates, says return to home, and then goes right back to fly mode. I see the drone LEDs flash once when the button is pushed, but it never moves or returns home. I have not set a geofence to see if the drone will return to home when it reaches the fence. Has anyone else had this problem? if so, what was the fix. I've contacted 3dr and am waiting for a response also.
