ND Filter sun flare

I bought these ND filters from Amazon to play with my GoPro 4 Silver. Doing some initial tests the filters degrade the quality of the video greatly due to sun flare. Do the ND Filters need a hood to reduce glare? or are these filter just cheap and buying a more expensive Glass filter would work without needing a hood.

No. That's just a crappy Chinese knockoff plastic junk filter. Waste if money. You get what you pay for with this stuff. Stick with the real ones like Polar Pro, Peau, and Snake River.

Look up sandmarc polarizer lens
It'll be a lens kit with 4
And I believe they're so lightweight it barely effects the gimbal. Not sure though being I'm a fixed mount flyer. Lol

Ended up buying the Sandmarc set and it has absolutely no sun glare. It was just definitely just cheap lens’s on the first set
