Main control board ribbon broke

I was trying to replace my HDMI cable with a ribbon style, and this 1" gray ribbon disconnected from the main board, not sure what the smaller board does but it's a big problem, any ideas or help on say maybe after market control board, or new boards for sale. Pretty sure I won't be able to solider it back on.

If you are using the accessory bay plug on the belly of Solo, then you'll want to repair that... Otherwise it has no other purpose for Solo. If you are not going to re-terminate it, then tape it off to reduce its ability to short for what ever reason.

One more question, can I disconnect the larger black wire and remove the accessory completely

In theory yes, I assume that is a ground lead still connected. Just insure you have no frayed wires bridging either from the torn ribbon termination or this depicted lead once removed.

Again it is just an external accessory port.
