Go to a office supply store such as staples, get a couple of black plastic file folders or report binders. Cut and glue together.

I've used this stuff for many RC projects, it's better than paper and will stand up better to handling and moisture.

Make your sunshade out this stuff it will work well for this application.

Next time I get to town I'll pick some up. The cutout in the back fits between the bracket and the tablet and holds the shade in place.

How does the ball head hold up to the added weight? I know my controller right now is pretty good, and I have the 8" tablet on there.. Not sure if I added much more weight if it would hold up so well.
