With the 4 Black updated to 5.0, we lost the ability for the camera to come on with the Solo. To get that back, you will have to go back to the v3.0 on your 4 Black.

On theme of workable GoPro versions, we have Version 2.0.2. Is that compatible with the 3DR? If not, can it be updated to a workable version 3? (and not automatically update to version 5 which sounds like does not work? Thanks, Rick

Good luck with that. It doesn't have anything to do with 3dr. Gopro removed a lot of functionality in their later firmwares. That's why many of us have stayed on v3.

It has for some people, but I never got it to work. V3 is the last that I know works turning on the Solo on power up. Without fail.

I use 5.0 with Solo and works fine for what I do with it. I have to turn it on myself. The shutter lock and ISO lock makes it worth it in my opinion. I have not to date tried to do a survey mission with the Solo triggering the camera however.

OK tried but lost.
3DR is not going to update, they refer to V3.00
I've been in contact with GoPro and they cannot deliver me the latest V3.00

I've found the V3.00 on this forum for the GoPro 4 black, is this compatible wth the 4 Silver?

Different firmwares. They have separate versions of each.
