Will Go pro session work with solo?

No, it won't fit in the gimbal. If you're going to get a GoPro for Solo you need the Hero 3+ black or the hero 4 black or silver.

I haven't payed the session any attention, but would assume there is a way to attach it with the stock mount.

you can mount with the stock mount. How ever there Session does not have a HDMI port so you will be fling blind...
