doesn't look real at all...do enough c2 channels exist in the rc or wifi bands to do such a thing? Or are the drones NOT individually controlled from the ground?

This was a real Intel demonstration. Disney just got their FAA waiver approved this week for night flight of multiple UAS. It's part of a show they are developing using "flixels", flying pixels. The UAS are controlled by an addressed C2 link and in some versions the drones are actually "aware" of the other drones in formation and adjust accordingly. The FAA refers to this as swarm UAS, as opposed to fleet, which is what amazon wants to do... one operator for multiple non-coordinated drones.

They are real. Intel used swamp technology to promote their new chip. At this time, intel only sells to commercial but I think it will be available to general public in 2018.

I have heard they are using the swarm technology to attack your wallet when you enter the park :-)
