A DIY with a Pixhawk and some equipment is doable. The video is long but it shows the equipment.

It is most certainly doable, but according to the FAA laws/guidelines its illegal Line of sight LOS only..Yeah I know it sucks but I'm sure we have folks at this very moment passing legislation to over turn this </SARCASM>
